Public rulebook · MatchScore v0.1
How matching works
When booking goes live, every provider on your list is scored the same way. Here's the rulebook — published on purpose.
BookWhat we will never do
Among eligible pros who say YES to a job, the one with the highest MatchScore gets it. If two pros tie, the one who said YES first gets it. No one can pay for a higher rank.
On a rest day, or once that day's cap is reached, the pro is simply ineligible for that day. It never changes MatchScore or the order. Among eligible pros, the highest MatchScore still gets the job; tie = earliest YES.

No paid ranking — You cannot buy a higher MatchScore.
No silent overrides — Staff cannot secretly pin someone to the top.
Same inputs, same score — For a given request snapshot, the math doesn't play favourites.
Explain every rank — You'll see why each pro is listed where they are.
Appeal path — Providers can request a match review; outcomes are logged.
What's in the score (v0.1)
Weights sum to 100%. We'll version this publicly if it changes (matching_policy_v0.1).
Right service and sub-skills for your job
Close enough to arrive in a sensible window
Free in the time you asked for
On-time and completion track record
Ratings, rework, complaint rate
7-level trust badge — light weight on purpose
Soft preference so eligible pros share opportunity
Bars are drawn relative to the largest factor (Skill fit, 28%).
Who even enters the list
A provider must:
- offer that service
- cover your pin/locality
- be available (or within flex rules)
- pass verification gates
- not be blocked.
On a provider card
- Overall match (0–100)
- Top reasons (e.g. "Strong skill match", "Closest ETA", "Level 4 · high completion")
- Expand for full factor bars
No black box for pros
If you were eligible and someone else was chosen, you can see the honest breakdown — published factors only. No invented excuses.
